The Sable
Palm
The most common palm tree found throughout Florida is the Sable Palm.
To those of you raised in the Florida countryside, you may know it as
a Cabbage Palm. The Cabbage Palm has a heart that has been eaten
by Florida crackers for decades. The Cabbage Palm stem goes to a
point and the Palmetto is blunt, where the frond meets the stem.
